
RESTAURANT MANAGER
Would you like to take responsibility for ensuring that guests at Hanzo leave the door with a smile on their face? Then we have the perfect job for you. Right now, we are looking for a new Restaurant Manager for our vibrant restaurant by the Sortedam Lake, where we offer a menu filled with our Asian favorite dishes.
We have set out to create a Hanzō restaurant that radiates life — a restaurant that combines the Nørrebro atmosphere with a colorful pan-Asian look and feel. The menu reflects the very best of Asia, ensuring you a diverse and exciting dining experience.
The view on Nørrebro does not get much better than at Sortedam Dossering 5, where you will find the restaurant. With seating for 70 guests indoors, complemented by outdoor service on pleasant days, everything is set for a vibrant buzz no matter where you sit.
To provide the most authentic experience, our dishes are served in a continuous flow, coordinated by our chefs. The food is served both individually and in shareable portions, with communal dishes for the entire table.
The Job
Your primary task is to ensure that guests feel welcome and to create a well-functioning team of happy employees. You do this best by being present when they are there, which means you should expect evening and weekend work. In close collaboration with your colleagues in the kitchen, you will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of the restaurant’s activities.
It is your responsibility to ensure proper staffing and that the wine inventory is stocked. You will run our à la carte restaurant, which is open every day of the week, offering a menu filled with Hanzō’s Asian favorite dishes.
Since this task cannot be handled alone, we expect you to be able to delegate and lead in a positive manner, maintaining a healthy and good working environment in the restaurant. It is therefore essential that you are passionate about creating a great workplace for your employees and understand how to motivate them.
We Are Looking For:
The job requires great overview and an even greater service instinct. You should enjoy the hustle and bustle of weekends, but also appreciate providing service to a table of two on a quieter Tuesday evening. We prefer that you have experience from larger restaurants. The role involves significant responsibility for many young employees, so leadership experience is also a requirement. Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — are an advantage.
