ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

Lupo is Italian and located on Frue Kirkeplads 1 in the heart of Aarhus.
The menu is characterized by pasta dishes (of course). Additionally, you'll always find a variety of Italian fish and meat servings, not to mention a wide selection of fresh vegetable-based elements.
Lupo offers comfortable Italian cuisine and warm-hearted service and there is alwasy room for the whole family. Rumor has it that if you squint your eyes while sipping our ice-cold limoncello, you can almost feel the Italian sun in your face.
The restaurant can accommodate around 140 dining guests.
The Job
- Your daily routine will take place in the restaurant, and most of your time will be spent with your team and guests on the floor.
- You, along with the Restaurant Manager, will have overall responsibility for the daily operations of the restaurant, and your greatest asset is your staff. You are the Restaurant Manager's right-hand person and will work closely with them to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- The job includes, but is not limited to, building a team of supervisors and employees. Your primary task is to keep them highly motivated because you understand that without your staff, nothing works.
- Additionally, you are responsible for ensuring that the restaurant is always properly staffed during your shifts, including adhering to your budgeted wage percentage and general financial management.
- There may also be secondary responsibilities such as managing the beverage stock, ordering supplies, creating menu, wine, and cocktail lists, optimizing the restaurant, service, cleanliness, and more.
- The restaurant operates both evenings and weekends, so you should thrive with evening and weekend work.

- An engaged leader who is passionate about service and management and loves working with guests. You should enjoy the buzz of a full restaurant on a Friday night, but also be just as committed on a Tuesday evening when things are quieter.
- You love developing both leadership talent and staff, and you should enjoy being part of a young, dynamic team.
- You have experience in management within the industry.
- You are skilled at planning service and equally adept at delegating and leading service in a motivating and constructive manner.
- You work with a positive attitude and always see challenges rather than problems. You enjoy fast-paced environments, but you also appreciate diving into thorough planning of the restaurant’s operations and optimization.
- You are financially responsible and lead by example to ensure the restaurant's profitable operation.
- You are accustomed to working with KPIs and love making today better than yesterday.
