    We are looking for an experienced manager to one of Madklubben's most historic restaurants. Read more about the role below.

    A restaurant in Carlsberg Byen that combines Danish history with an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant is located above the historic Jacobsen Brewery in a protected and beautiful space where you can see the copper brewing kettles still in use today. The interior features Danish design classics and pays great respect to the old rooms, filled with brewing history that you won’t find anywhere else in Denmark.

    The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner, as well as for larger events and special launches. Lunchtime focuses on classic Danish dishes and modern smørrebrød with a twist. In the evening, it’s Madklubben’s renowned global cuisine, drawing inspiration from anywhere and not confined to one particular style. The drinks menu naturally highlights a wide selection of beers, brewed exclusively for Madklubben by Carlsberg's brewmaster, Bjarke.     The job

    As a Head Chef at Madklubben, you are overall responsible for the entire kitchen's operations and staff. The job involves, among other things, managing your chefs and assistants. You spend most of your time in the kitchen side by side with your team, and you are responsible for - and take an active part in - the development and training of everyone on the team. In addition, your everyday life will include, but is not limited to, shift planning, development of new dishes and menus, financial management, ordering products, cleaning, follow-up, hygiene and self-control.

    Success is running an evening with fantastic food, served on time in a good mood and with happy colleagues who feel motivated, inspired and recognized in your company.

    About you

    • You have previous experience as a manager in a kitchen
    • You have knowledge of economics and thrive with KPI measurements of your and your team's performance
    • You are a skilled craftsman with experience in the modern bistro kitchen and open sandwiches
    • You have experience in running events and large companies
    • You see challenges rather than problems
    • You are good at time planning and prioritizing your time
    • You are a strong leader and a skilled merchant with the desire to learn new things
    • You like to lead a team that delivers every day, and you always keep a cool head
    • You are innovative and creative and will go the extra mile to ensure an experience beyond expectations for all our guests
    • The team is international, so you must be able to speak and understand both Danish and English
